Monarch Larva (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/01/2009

Number: 1

The eggs I brought in and reported to you on 04/27/09 hatched this morning. I have 9 babies starting to eat their way through that part of their life. All hatched within minutes so must have all been laid by the same Monarch. I have them in a bowl with a paper towel in the bottom (one without perfume or lotion) and celephame on the top of the bowl with holes punched in with a pin for air. I also put a few drops of water on the paper towel to help keep the leaves fresh for them.
