"There were 48 folks who each had an inkling that Tuesday, April 28 was going to be Shagawa Lake Ice Out Day, but the first entry received that was closest to ice out at 1:50 p.m. was Pat Ferderber"
"Although ice may still appear on lake as winds shift, the official time is declared when a boat could travel from the south shore of Shagawa Lake to the north shore, chunks of ice notwithstanding."
