We were surprised on Wednesday, April 29, to see that Long Lake had large expanses of open water. It was cold and windy on the previous two days. The lake wasn't considered 'out' yet because there was still too many acres covered with ice. We went back on May 1 and it still had too much ice in some parts. Long Lake is a very large lake. Finally on Saturday it was declared 'out'.
