Monarch Egg (FIRST sighted)

Date: 04/30/2009

Number: 1

The park manager, Keith T, told me today that a Monarch was seen in their experimental meadow (Monarch Waystation #22) on Sunday, April 26 around 3 PM. I surveyed today, April 30 and found that the common milkweeds are up from around 4 inches to a foot.  And, best of all they have eggs on them.  No butterflies flying it was cold and overcast today.
