Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/05/2009

Number: 1

We have a certified monarch waystation outside our classroom window. Yesterday, we were working on our animal projects and one of my students yells "A Monarch, a Monarch - it made it!" Needless to say we had a small riot as everyone ran to our bay window!!! It was an adult. It had tattered wings and was very faded in color. We saw it fluttering around our milkweed all afternoon. We are hoping for eggs! :-)
