I was outside for lunch recess today and saw my first monarch butterfly of the season. It was a beautiful warm day near 70 deg. and sunny. Some of the other kids were playing ball when I saw it come land on a dandelion to rest a little. I made sure that no one got too close to accidentally hurt it. I think it was a girl. Checked our milkweed when I got home, but no eggs yet.
