Of the 50 Red Emporer bulbs my preschoolers planted last October,
seven have grown tall and are blooming, another half dozen are blooming on three inch stems! We learned this year that
deer love tulips and we have watched with dismay as they continued to visit our school garden almost nightly. We are hoping a newly erected fence around the garden will make it a more positive experience next year.
