Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 05/12/2009

Number: 1

Saw our first ruby throated hummer and yes it was hovering where the feeder normally hangs. It beat me to it this year. Great having them back. It is a definate sign of summer to come after our long cold winter. Before you know it we will have about 12 of them fighting over the feeder. We enjoy watching them drink fly to a certain spot and return. they have a definate pattern they follow. Looking forward to a summer of observing!
