We have planted a butterfly garden at our school. Two weeks ago we had several monarch caterpillars appear on the milkweed plants. Two have survived captivity. Today one of the monarchs has made its chrysalis on the underside of a leaf. The students have been keeping track of the caterpillar's increase in size each day. We can't wait to see what happens next.
