Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 05/14/2009

Number: 1

6:00pm---I was refilling my birdbath (one of five) by my gardening shack. I heard a fluttering and looked up into our apple tree. There was a Ruby-Throated HB enjoying our apple blossoms which have really started blooming. I had nectar made already, so I rounded up a couple HB feeders and hung them out. My bird sanctuary is now complete :)~~I have Robins, Finches, Mourning Doves, Barn Swallows, Blue Jays, Baltimore Orioles, Cardinals, Rose-breasted Grosbeaks AND of course the pesty sparrows and starlings. Also a Pheasant wanders up now and then. I Really Enjoy My Summer Birds ;}
