5/14/09, Skidaway Island, Savannah, Chatham County, Ga, my wife Becky and I, had our first emergence, a male Monarch, larva from our home butterfly garden Asclepias curassavica . He pupated to one of our adjacent Butterfly bushes from which I digitally captured his 9:32am transformation to being "Airborne." What a wonderful event. ( this bug survived three horrendous thunder storms. I had to render first aid to the chrysalis-note the small metal clamp with blue rubber clamp ends)
