Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 04/27/2009

Number: 1

I first saw the Hummingbird on the 27th of April/09. It right away started looking for the feeder where we normally have hanging in that area but it was in a different spot. We quickly filled another feeder and hung it under the eves near our first floor window and it wasn't long and it was drinking. We now have two and their not fighting over territory, maybe their a compatible male and female. We do have perches and wonder if its better not to have them as when their wings are moving their body temperature stays warmer?
