This Saturday, May 16th, we saw our beautiful scarlet tanager for the first time this spring! On Sunday, I also spotted his mate on my suet cakes in the backyard. I always celebrate their arrival, as they are my favorite birds! One year they had quite a few babies, so I'm hoping for that again this year!
