I saw my first two monarchs of the season today in Shawano, Wisconsin. We had a strong southerly wind today and temps in the mid 80s. This is the earliest I have seen monarchs since I kept keeping track around 2001 or 02. I usually see my first around May 29 - 31, but have been as late as June 7th.
