I am a member of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and participate in Project Feeder Watch. On the morning of February 28th, 2009 my first mixed flock of Red-Winged Blackbirds and Grackles moved through my feeding station. I counted, and reported to Cornell, 43 Red-Winged Blackbirds and 20 Grackles. They were here all day on the 28th, but moved on the next day after a morning feeding on the 29th.
