Just curious, I had an active nest, 5 eggs, they all hatched and were being fed. Yesterday, they were spotted being fed and about 4 hours later, 4 of the 5 babies were gone and the one that was left has been abandoned and has died. The nest is on a window sill on the 2nd floor - but not disturbed by humans. What would happen to 4 new hatchlings and what would cause the parents to abandon their last surviving young?
