Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 05/03/2009

Number: 1

Our feeders went out at the beginning of May and we have seen an abundance of the tiny ruby throated hummingbirds. At first they all seemed to be gathered in the trees surrounding our yard as if they had all just arrived. There was such a commotion out there we knew something was up. Since that time they have delighted us being in the garden. However, in our location there doesn't seem to be an abundance of hummingbird plants and so I am now seeking out the plants they require in order to keep them fed.
