I transplanted a small plant from a beach 3 hours north of me last summer. I've been watching for it in my garden and finally found it today tucked in among the tulip leaves. It's an astounding 10 1/2 inches, so I don't know how I missed it, but I'm ecstatic to see it growing so well! Our local beach has some very small plants growing. I'll be heading there tomorrow to see if there are any eggs.
