Since I don't usually see monarchs in my Dover backyard until July, I decided to try to look for caterpillars in the field near work in Milford. The milkweed looks great and had lots of evidence of caterpillar activity. I was only able to find one 2nd instar caterpillar which is now on my windowsill munching milkweed.

Editor's Note: The presence of larva means an adult monarchs has arrived in this area. Therefore, we are adding this larva report to the migration map.
