Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/24/2009

Number: 1

May 25
At 2:00pm, a Monarch flew in front of our lilac bushes as I was scanning for an elusive Tiger Swallowtail. This male was pristine, flying fast though the rather breezy afternoon under partly cloudy skies. Just in case..., I checked for eggs on our common milkweed. None, *yet*! :-)

My daughter just informed me she saw a monarch on Saturday flitting through our yard--a day before I saw and reported one!!! :-)
