Oriole (1st Bullock's)

Date: 04/02/2009

Number: 1

So beautiful, those shocking yellow & black feathers! And that
trademark whistle, it is I who should be whistling at them !! :)
Several come each year to drink nectar from our Giant Birds of
Paradise Flowers which are about 25 ft.high. When I hear their
call I look up and see this awesome colored bird on the tropical
birds of paradise flowers,I feel like I'm in the Tropics!
I run for my camera but Iam not always fast enough! At least they return through- out the day :) After 1st sighting I hang up
oriole feeder & serve grape jelly ;) The perfect bribe !
