I saw my first adult monarch of the season yesterday afternoon here at the Outdoor Education Centre. I've been following other Canadian sightings on your map, and waiting anxiously for the first arrival. It was at 3:45 pm in humid/misty conditions at 19 degrees C, and appeared to be a very fresh butterfly but it flew past me pretty quickly so I was unable to determine if it was a male or female. Coincidentally, we found our first milkweed plants along the edge of a cornfield today as well!!
