have only seen one monarch this season and my "spotters" have seen very few as well. (3 total have been reported since May 7. I have 3 caterpillars in their 4th instar. One caterpillar died today, looks like OE :-( Those caterpillars were found on Mother's Day. Since then nothing, no monarchs, no eggs, no caterpillars.

My milkweed is high and healthy, over 2' in many parts of my yard.

Where are the monarchs? reporting from western suburbs of Chicago
