What an amazing Sunday morning! At 6:00 am the baby robins began their journey out of their nest! And I got to watch it all! There are four. The biggest and the bravest two flew out first. When mom & dad came this morning, they wanted nothing to do with food, they wanted to join the big world and flew right out. As I have watched, mom & dad have both tried to offer these two food as they are chasing them around our yard, but neither of them are interested in eating. One baby is still in the nest. He enjoys getting food from both parents who are busy looking after the first two who flew out. I am a little confused with the third baby who flew just a few feet onto our deck and has been sitting their all morning chirping (it's breaking my heart), but mom & dad are ignoring him. I fear it is my fault, as I scooted him off one railing and on to the other with the end of the broom because he was in peril of falling into our air-conditioner unit.
