I did not see Mrs. Monarch, but I collected 10 eggs from the milkweed in my yard on May 22. It's been cool and rainy here all week, and nothing was happening with the eggs. Finally, today, May 30, five of them have hatched. Looks like the 2009 season is underway.....hurrah!
