This wasn't really Steinbach but it isn't really Winnipeg either...it's in front of the Lilac Motel on Hwy 1, just past the Steinbach turn-off. There's a nice patch of milkweed there that I monitor for action. The milkweed is about a foot high and looking carefully I found ONE lone egg! That's a start!
