I have about 6 milkweed plants in my garden, several with buds, but I haven't seen any eggs yet. I saw Monarch butterflies at a "butterfly house" at Cornell Cooperative Extension's office in Oriskany, NY, about 8 miles from my house, today. The weather conditions were not too favorable, mostly cloudy, limited sun, breezy, but the butterflies did fly around the screened house at times. It has been rainy in recent weeks. We had 2-3 inches last week, with temperatures below average.
