Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

A female Monarch was collected for the NYS APA Visitor's Interpretive Center in Paul Smiths on June 30th. The next day (July 1st), she was laying eggs on the milkweed in the Butterfly House! Staff Environmental Educator Milt Adams saw a Monarch in the Saranac Lake region on Father's Day (June 20th), and Porgy Smith (our main collector) saw a Monarch in the Paul Smiths area later that week.
