We have helped raise monarchs from the swamp milkweed in our yard. I wonder if this monarch was one that came back from last year. She whirled around me as I was in the back yard...of course I talked to her! As of 7/8/09 we had 4 monarch caterpillars forming their chrysalis, and 2 more inside the fish tank we use. We have one outside that chrysalised probably about that time the others did -- just found it 7/8/09.
