Monarch Larva (FIRST sighted)

Date: 07/14/2009

Number: 1

Monarch Larva was found on a milkweed plant in our school butterfly garden. We have many milkweed as the host plants for the monarch and many nectar-rich perennial and annuals. This was the first larva I had seen this season, but certainly do not work in the garden daily. Have seen the adult butterflies in the garden and found several other larva today, July 21, 2009.
