Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 07/24/2009

Number: 1

Seen a male Monarch butterfly for the first time since I have lived here (almost 10 years). I used to see them all the time in Tawas, MI growing up as a kid. It appears to only be one butterfly because everytime I get close enough to check it is a male. He sure is fast! We have very few milkweeds but the ones we have don't ever have Monarch caterpillars on them so I am not sure where this butterfly came from. He has been here about a week flying around our yard and the neighbors every day. I hope I see more in the future.
