Very exciting day. Actually videotaped a male Monarch capturing a female.......in slow motion, no less. Unfortunately, it isn't as close as I would have liked, and because of the camera's inability to tape more than six seconds in slo-mo, I wasn't able to get the newly mated couple flying off. But I did get some other shots of them later (before I left them in peace:) so I'm thrilled. It will be fun to work the scene into my yearly Monarch videos........
