Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 08/03/2009

Number: 1

The Monarchs are becoming more plentiful here now. I see at least 2 or 3 every day on either my Gregg's Mistflower for nectar or laying eggs on the milkweed. This year they seem to be ignoring my Swamp Milkweed and laying only on the Tropical and Swan milkweed.

I have located 4 caterpillars of varying sizes and had one female lay at least a dozen new eggs.

The weather here has been mostly sunny with temps in the high 80s.
