We saw dozens of ruby-throated hummingbirds crowded around the hummingbird feeders this weekend. We noticed them in higher numbers than we have seen all summer here, guessing they are bulking up for their migration. In an unrelated note, in case it matters, we had a ruby-throated hummingbird nest in our front yard one year ago - very interesting to watch!! They had two babies that hatched and flew away.
