Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 08/18/2009

Number: 1

This little triangle of Maverick County is still under an extreme drought which forces the butterflies that are here to gather along the Rio Grande and in yards where people are still watering. Temps are running 4-5 degrees higher than past years and cooling off less at night.

I've not seen any pre-migration monarchs yet, but it's still early.

AND my tags arrived yesterday!
