Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/21/2009

Number: 1

We are having much Ruby-Throated Hummingbird activity right now. Males, females and juveniles are drinking approximately 60 ounces of sugar water per week from our two feeders. We haven't been able to count how many total but business is brisk at our feeders! We've had an unusually wet, cool summer with hot, humid conditions in the last week. Migration around here usually occurs in September. We're anxious to see if the weather changes migration patterns.
