I raise butterflies (5 kinds). I have had Monarchs off and on ALL summer. I just came out of the garden(Aug.20, 2009) and brought in eggs, tiny caterpillars, and larger ones (about 1"long) Just yesterday I brought in two nearly ready to go into chrysalis. All Monarchs. It has been really a strange year for the Monarchs here in Kansas. I have never known them to stay around all summer before. I have raised them for nearly 15 years. Strange!!!! Imogene Hall
