Took my first walk this week to look for Monarch larvae...I found one and saw 4-5 adult Monarchs in the fields. Unfortunately, the farmer is cutting grass very late this year because it was so rainy earlier in the summer, and a large swath of the available milkweed is gone. I am hopeful the Monarchs will choose the narrow-leaved variety that grows in the spots to wet to mow!
