August 13, 2009 - 2:20p.m. We were sitting out on the patio, My daughter spotted the Hummer 2 feet away at the orange Zinnias in a planter and said " Look a Humming bird"!I only viewed it for a few seconds before it flittered away. I was delighted at this first close encounter.

August 18, 2009- 10:30 a.m.Again on the patio , I glanced over to the flower garden...A hummingbird at the delphinium, over to the snapdragon, back to the delphinium and then off it flew only to be seen at the blue and black salvia on the otherside of the yard moments later.Again it flittered away.

August 20, 2009- 9:00 a.m. A glance out the kitchen window .... a hummer at the feeder, first time I saw one there if only for a few seconds. I am not sure of other visits but I am glad for thse that have been.
