I actually thought my hummingbird numbers were way down from previous years. That was before the big eating frenzy that happens before the Fall migration. I currently have four females and three males. One male and two of the females look to be juveniles, which is hard to tell when they are flying so fast.
It has been nonstop feeding for the last three days, with numerous feeders up, I am going through atleast 3 cups of sugar water a day.
I was able to get a better count of the hummers by pulling all but one feeder down for a few hours.
