Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/23/2009

Number: 1

Two Broad-tailed HBs in my back yard. They didn't have the bright magenta gullet, but I'm not sure the males have those unless it's mating season? One was aggressive toward the finches resting in a shade tree, showing its dive-bombing skills and getting in their faces.

They like to eat from the butterfly bushes and the pink Coronado Hyssop.
