Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/25/2009

Number: 1

Continue to see blackchin hummers that have been here all summer. See an average of 4 per day, usually 1 male and 3 females. It is exceptionally hot and dry (drought) and they are drinking much more sugar-water than usual. Due to heat and drought conditions, there are fewer flowers.
