Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/26/2009

Number: 1

We still have a young male coming regularly throughout the day to our feeder. I do believe he is the one I rescued from my screen porch. He is very territorial. He feeds for about a minute that flies over to our fence about 5 feet away and watches everything for numerous minutes at a time, then goes back and feeds. I was trying so hard to get a good picture of him yesterday, but each time the camera made noise it scared him away. One time I was inside watching him closely, just waiting and he came and fed, then he flew over right in front of the window-like checking me out! HA. I hope he stays a while longer. I did notice a larger hummingbird, trying to come feed, but the little one chases "her" off.
