I have several plants which attract hummingbirds - Alabama Honeysuckle, several feeders which I replenish frequently and other flowers. At the beginning of the season I saw only males. Now I only see females and they have started "fighting" with one another to get to the feeder - chasing the other away.
At times I have four whizzing at each other. Is this common for this time of the season? The birds arrive all day long through early evening.
