Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/28/2009

Number: 1

This morning, at 7:15, I was out watering my plants/flowers. And as I was heading toward the flower bed facing the park, a juvenile rudy-throated hummingbird flew down to the feeder, which is on a shepherds hook in the flower bed and then a larger hummingbird came in and chased the little hummer away from the feeder. This is the earliest time that I've seen the hummingbirds at the feeders.
I've been seeing this happen pretty often with these two hummingbirds. I have 3 feeders up now, one in the front yard, hanging from the acorn tree, one at the kitchen window, and the one on the sherpeds hook in the flower bed.
