I was overjoyed to see one healthy looking monarch feeding on the flowering burdock in the old barnyard. It may be the same one I saw 2 days ago feeding on red clover in the pasture nearby.
I have been very concerned and saddened because much of the milkweed was mowed in August this year.....decision of other members of the family.
Now I am wondering if this monarch can and will migrate....if it is one of the ones that can live through the winter.
