My vice-principal called last night(8/25) to say she was bringing in some monarch caterpillars for my class so I stopped this morning and cut one milkweed stalk. When I got to school I discovered the one plant had two eggs and three caterpillars in first instar. I went to cut another plant over lunch and this one had five caterpillars all in first instar.
