Signs of Fall

Date: 08/30/2009

First cool night last night(upper 40's) With such a late start to spring/summer cool & wet, it is hard to give up the warmth. Still, the deer coats are starting to change in color the acorns are getting bigger. the hummingbirds are still active you can feel & smell a change in the air. Cut the daylilys back this weekend (getting ready to lightly mulch) stirred up the praying mantis, just moved them to the still blooming limelight hydrangea. We always have such a nice fall in these parts I am looking forward to my fall planting of tulips & red peonies.
