The cool night time temperatures in southern Ontario - Toronto will be about 50 F with heavy dew overnight - is sending migrating birds southward. Today near Oshawa, Ontario, I saw many hummingbirds buzz by, flying westward along the north shore of Lake Ontario. Doug Lockery at the Cranberry Marsh Hawk Watch just a little further west at Whitby on the lake shore also noted "many hummingbirds" passing by today.
