I was in my garden for approximately an hour. I saw a little hummingbird in the yard 3 different time. Twice it sat for between 3-5 minutes on one of the highest branches of a redwood tree. The other time it sat on a the tree of the next door neighbor, for about the same amount of time. It was preening itself. I heard the hummingbird before I saw it. I recognize the clicking sound it makes and so I looked hard until I spotted it.
